The Forest Guardians of Araribóia Indigenous Territory, Maranhão, Brazil protect their territory from illegal loggers and fires - one of many examples of how Indigenous peoples are very frontline guardians of their forests.

I filmed with one of Araibóia’s Forest Guardians for a campaign that was screened on 7 of the Times Square screens in New York during Climate Week 2019 as part of a collaboration with the Global Alliance of Territorial Communities for their #GuardiansoftheForest campaign.
