Jaye Renold is a documentary filmmaker and visual artist. She directs, films and edits stories that address social & environmental justice through co-creative filmmaking.

Jaye works internationally as a freelance director, camera operator and editor, collaborating with a range of international bodies, media, charities and artists. Much of her work focuses on impact storytelling and her films have been used internationally to influence policy and decision making, such as her 2020 documentary 'Oil On Their Hands', which was awarded an Honorable Mention at the Jackson Wild Media Awards, as well as being screened to decision makers at the OECD in the Netherlands.

As director or DP she has filmed in diverse conditions from tropical rainforests to windswept mountains, and from parliamentary chambers to street protests across 5 continents. Her footage has appeared internationally, including in Times Square, on Channel 4 News, BBC & TV Globo Brasil.

Jaye enjoys working with a wide range of collaborators to bring their work to life through film, including community groups, visual artists, musicians and athletes. She can be hired with a Canon C70 kit and a DJI Mavic Pro 3.

With the charity If Not Us Then Who?, Jaye has worked with a network of Indigenous emerging filmmakers on film production and distribution since 2016, organizing several training programs and teaching filmmaking workshops in multiple languages. She was also a Contributing Author and Picture Researcher for Climate Outreach’s Indigenous Media Presence report.

Beyond filmmaking, she also has experience co-founding two climate-focused social enterprises, community-based climate justice organizing and she was a youth delegate to the UN Climate Negotiations in Bonn and Paris.

Jaye is also a passionate linguist, speaking English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and French.
